Consume, Corrupt, Commandeer. Fight your way through waves of spaceships, absorb their wackrage and turn their power against themselves.

Synopsis

You play as a cosmic corruption that escaped confinement during transfer. Taking over control of the transfer ship, you can now take your revenge and cause havoc on the human fleet that imprisoned you. Absorb all the wackrage of the defeated spaceships, harnessing their power, and become the ultimate mass of destruction! 

Gameplay

The game is a space bullet-hell shoot-em-up where enemy spaceships can be broken down into parts and can be fused illogically onto the player's ship mass. Absorbed weapons and engines retained their original function (weapons shoot, engines provide movement), but normal parts are also useful for forming the shield protecting the player core. 

Fighter ships with increasing difficulty will spawn periodically throughout the game, and are the main source of wrackages to be consumed. Civilian cargo ships are scattered throughout the map and can provide some emergency wrackages, which may prove useful in a pinch.

The game ends either when the core of the player mass or all weapon systems are destroyed by the enemy. A final score of time and wreckages collected will be shown at the end of each playthrough.

 

Controls

• [W/A/S/D], [Left Joystick]: Cardinal movement
• [Q/E], [Right Joystick]:  Left/Right turn
• [Space], [Left Mouse Button], [Button South]: Fire all weapons
• Contact with wrackage: Absorb warackage into ship mass

Theme interpretation

• "Fusion" as combining different things together, where the main gimmick of the game is to "fuse" wreckages of defeated spaceships into a single entity.
